Assigning Roles to Users in DVM Dx

Jill Kahkoska -

Users in DVM Dx have different “Roles” assigned when invited to the DVM Dx application. “Roles” control the features and permissions that a User can access.

Producer:

A Producer role is assigned to Users who

  • Creates Cases following established protocols
  • Reviews Completed and Diagnosed Cases

This Role is generally assigned to Clients and Technicians who will be following protocols, adding media, notes and data to a Case.

Quality Assurance:

A Quality Assurance role is assigned to Users who

  • Create Cases following established protocols
  • Review Completed and Diagnosed Cases
  • Screen and move “Pending Review” Cases to the “Review” category

This Role is assigned to Users who review cases to ensure that protocols requirements are complete before review by a Health Care Professional.

Health Care Professional:

A Health Care Professional is generally the Vet or Pathologist for the Account.

Health Care Professional role is assigned to Users who

  • Create Cases following established protocols
  • Review Completed and Diagnosed Cases
  • Screen and move “Pending Review” Cases to the “Review” category
  • Diagnose, Sign and Complete Cases*

The Health Care Professional role is the only role that has permissions to Diagnose and Complete a Case.

Account Administrator:

An Account Administrator has administrator rights that include adding Users, Locations, and Groups. Account Administrators also have access to Billing and Account information for a practice.

Anyone on the Account can be assigned as an Account Administrator without impacting the base permissions. A User is assigned as an Account Administrator from the “Users” page using the blue “Make Administrator” or “Remove Administrator” buttons on lower left side of the page. More than one User on an Account can be identified as an Administrator.

Note:

Adding "Account Administrator" to a User does not change their permissions to Create, Review, Diagnose or Complete Cases.
