Creating a Case

When you log into DVM Dx, the “Cases” view is presented. If you are using DVM Dx for the first time, there may not be any cases in your view.

To create a new case, click on the “+ New Case” button in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

A “Create Case” window will pop up. This is the window that will allow you to select the type of workflow or protocol that you are completing, the location of the Case and the Case name.

When you click in the fields, you will see a drop down box that will allow you to choose the protocols that are allowed in your account.

Follow the same process to choose the location that you are working at. In the “Case Name” field, you can either use the case name that is generated automatically by the system or create a custom name.

Once you fill in all fields, click on the large blue “Create Case” button in the pop up window.

When you create a case, you will be taken to the “Overview” screen for your new case. The information that you already loaded is auto-populated. This is the area of the application where you will begin adding pictures and notes as defined by your protocol.

If you would like to see the “Cases” view to ensure that your case has been captured, click on the “Cases” icon in the upper right of the screen.  


This will return you to the cases view where you will be able to see the new case you created in the “Open” category.

To reopen the Case, click on the green “Edit” pencil icon or the blue “Edit in a new tab” icon.
